Welcome to
ADIM2011
The 2nd International Workshop on Advances in Data and Information Management: Recent Advances of Cloud Computing in Data and Information Management
August 16, 2011 - Harbin, China
Cloud computing has become a new computing paradigm as it can provide scalable IT infrastructure, QoS-assured services and customisable computing environment. Cloud computing provides a new model for managing large-scale and distributed data & information on demand. However, managing data and information in Cloud also presents many challenges: data security and privacy, data reliability and availability, data service performance, storage capacity dynamic scale, user-centered service and interface, etc. It involves the offering of appropriate Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) which allows quick provision and deployment of computing and storage resources onto the infrastructure that can dynamically grow and contract on demand as workload varies.
In the past few years, worldwide Cloud providers, cyberinfrastructure, and Grid initiatives that exist have made significant contributions towards data and information management in Cloud. In the year of 2011, the 2nd ADIM workshop will target the theme of Cloud computing in data and information management. The ADIM 2011 aims to provide a platform to bring together researchers, industrial practitioners, and developers for communication, discussion, and exchange of novel ideas, results and practice on data and information management in Cloud Computing.
Topics of interest include, but not limited to:
- Data Security and Privacy in Cloud computing
